Publication: Highlights of the Nigerian Communications Commission (Consumer Code of Practice Regulations), 2024
On July 30, 2024, the Nigerian Communications Commission (“NCC”) released the Consumer Code of Practice Regulations, 2024 (“Regulations”); a key update to consumer protection standards in the telecommunications sector. The Regulations replace the 2007 Regulations, establishing more stringent requirements for licensees, enhancing service transparency, and safeguarding consumer rights. This Article highlights the major changes, including improved complaint handling, and better consumer service amongst others.
