Publication: States Making Electric Power Laws: A Constitutional Amendment?

The marginalization of the law-making powers of the federating states in the Nigerian electricity sector, and the outsized debate of when the national grid can be said to cover an area, has spurred the National Assembly to propose an amendment to the constitution that allows states to make localized laws in the electricity sector for state territories, whether or not covered by the national grid.
