Publication: Enforcement of Judgment in Nigeria and the "Multiplicity Challenge"
Enforcement of judgment is a crucial aspect of the Nigerian civil justice system. Although Nigerian law provides for the enforcement of judgment mechanisms, there are certain loopholes in the law that stifle the system and affect practitioners and litigants.
In this paper, Opemipo Omoyeni and Ibrahim Haroon have addressed the “Multiplicity Challenge”, which poses a major challenge to the efficient enforcement of judgments in Nigeria. Until solved by responsive legislation, the issues highlighted in the paper will persist as they now do. Toward having an efficient judgment enforcement system, the paper suggests pragmatic recommendations to tackle the “Multiplicity Challenge”.
