Publication: Annual Supervision Fees and Regulatory Fees for Nigerian Funds

On January 21, 2021 the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) issued the rules on Annual Supervision Fees for Collective Investment Schemes (CIS) and further revised them on December 20, 2021. 

In this article, our Senior Associate, Ayodele Ashiata Kadiri and Associate Samuel Dunmade, examine the rules and discuss the stakeholders on whom the burden of the supervisory fee rests, the implications of the imposition of the supervisory fees and certain other considerations that will affect the implementation of the supervisory fees.
